Things that should be fixed for Wii Fit 2

Wii Fit for Nintendo Wii is a great idea. Get people off the couch and moving around, make it fun, and track their weight and BMI. Having played it for over a month, I’ve had a good time, but it’s more fun to discuss how it could be better. So here’s my wish list for how Nintendo can fix Wii Fit for a sequel:

Waiting too long between exercises.

I want to quickly jump from exercise to exercise. Right now there’s way too many button presses. I’d like to queue up a bunch of routines and do them all in a row.

Having to stand on the balance board before every exercise, even when it’s not needed

Why do I have to stand on the balance board before I do the jack knife, which doesn’t take weight into account? Stupid.

Unlocking is stupid

Enough said. Just let me do them all from the get-go.

Not enough variance in speech from the trainers

C’mon, you couldn’t get them to say more than 3 things? “You’re steady!” “Good balance” “You seem wobbly” “Did you put your foot down?”

Did I miss any others?

Oh—-NO 2 PLAYER SUPPORT!

The Wii is all about multiplayer, so why is Wii Fit only 1 player? The only thing that’s 2 player is the run, which is pretty lame. Nintendo could make a killing on balance boards by selling extras. The NES track pad was so much fun because 4 people could do it at the same time.
